Past Masters Night

Please join us on Tuesday May 8th for the annual Oriental Lodge No. 33 Past Masters Night. We are fortunate to have the continued support and participation of our Past Masters and it is our pleasure to recognize them at this event each year.

This year our brother Clifton Truman Daniel will be the "keynote" speaker and we will also invite our Past Masters to share their stories. Our immediate Past Master Mike Kolar will be serving as host for the evenings special dinner at the nearby Gale Street Inn.

April downtown outing - Wednesday April 18th

Dear Friends and Brethren,

Our downtown outing this month will be on Wednesday, April 18th. As we head into the summer months, most of our outings are likely to be cigar-themed, and so therefore I thought we'd start out this month's outing at Up Down Cigar, at 1550 N Wells in Old Town. We'll plan to be there from 6 to 7 PM, to allow people to browse cigars. Up Down is one of a handful of excellent tobacco shops in the city of Chicago, and would be happy to help neophytes find something to try. At 7 PM, we'll head to Corcoran's, at 1615 N Wells (less than a block away), where they have an outdoor beer garden with heat lamps, where we can smoke, drink, and eat.

I want to emphasize that you need not be a cigar smoker to join us. Yes, several of us will be smoking cigars, but we will be outdoors, and will do our best to sit downwind of you.

Installation of Officers

Oriental Lodge No. 33 presented the Installation of Elected and Appointed
Officers in a Public Ceremony on Sunday November 20th 2011.

The Black-Tie event was well attended and took place at the
Jefferson Park Masonic Temple followed by dinner at
Lucia's Restaurant.

Reminder that our December Stated meeting will be our Toys for Tot's Night!  Everyone will be required to bring some unwrapped, new toys in the original boxes for admission!  Please pass the word!
